Moderation & Safety

Xotic AI is an adults-only platform for fiction between consenting adults. One-on-one chats are private; Worlds rooms, scenarios, avatars, profiles, and community posts are shared surfaces, and the community guidelines apply to everything you publish or play on them. This page explains how those rules are enforced.

The short version#

Adult fiction — including explicit fiction — is welcome. Real-world harm is not. If your content targets a real person, involves minors in any way, or uses the platform to harass, scam, or dox, it will be removed and your account actioned.

What's never allowed#

• Minors, in any form. No sexual content involving characters under 18, no "aged-up" framing of child characters, no attempts to roleplay minors. This applies to fiction too. We scan for it, humans review it, and confirmed violations end the account and are reported where the law requires.
• Real people. No scenarios, avatars, or images depicting real, identifiable people — public figures included — in sexual or degrading contexts.
• Targeting other users. Harassment, threats, or unwanted sexual advances directed at a real person on the platform (not their fictional character) are not fiction.
• Doxxing. Publishing anyone's phone number, address, socials, or other private information.
• Non-consent framed as real. Dark themes are allowed inside clearly fictional framing between adult characters; content presenting sexual violence as real, endorsed, or instructional is not.
• Illegal content and scams. Anything that facilitates real-world illegal activity, plus spam, phishing, or link schemes.

Shared-surface etiquette#

• Stay in your room's rating: SFW rooms stay SFW — the narrator and characters will hold that line, and so should your turns.
• Out-of-character talk goes in OOC, and being in character never excuses targeting the human behind another avatar.
• Public scenarios are reviewed before they're listed. Private worlds shared by invite link are your space, within the rules above.

How enforcement works#

1. Automatic filters block the worst content at the moment you post it.
2. AI review scans published content asynchronously. High-confidence violations are hidden automatically and queued for a human.
3. Reports. Every avatar, scenario, turn, and profile has a Report option. Multiple independent reports hide content pending review.
4. Strikes. Violations add a strike. Three strikes within 90 days mute your account for 7 days (you can read, not post). Five strikes send the account to human review.
5. Bans are always a human decision. A banned account loses its subscription (cancelled at the payment provider) and access to publishing and shared surfaces. Moderation evidence is retained.

Appeals#

If you believe an action on your account was a mistake, email support@xotic.ai from the address on the account. Appeals are read by a human.
