What is Worlds?
Worlds are living, multiplayer AI stories — a scenario, a cast of AI characters, your avatar, and up to three friends, with a narrator and director keeping the scene reactive.
Worlds is Xotic AI's multiplayer story mode. Instead of a one-on-one chat, you step into a scenario — a premise, a setting, and a cast of AI characters with goals and secrets of their own — as your own avatar, alone or with up to three friends.
How a story works#
- The cast answers everyone. Each AI character keeps its personality and looks, but plays the role the story gives it. Characters have public goals you can see and private ones you'll discover in play.
- A narrator sets the scene. Every story opens with a narrated scene and an opening picture, and the narrator returns for outcomes, arrivals, time skips and twists.
- A director paces it. Behind the scenes a director decides who responds to what you did, when the narrator steps in, and when a moment is worth a picture.
- Your actions cost XOT. Each action you take costs 10 XOT; the cast's replies are included. Pictures of the scene are 50 XOT.
Solo or with friends#
Every story can be played solo. Open a room to play with friends: you get an invite link, a lobby with seats for 2–4 humans, and lobby chat while everyone arrives. Spectators can watch for free.
If a seat sits out too many turns, the story waits for that player before the cast answers — so nobody gets left behind and nobody can be steamrolled.
Pictures of the scene#
At any moment you can snap the scene: choose who is in the picture, write the moment in your own words (or let the story write it), and generate. Story authors can also pin opening images so every new room starts on a finished picture.
Who can play#
Worlds is part of the subscription. Playing with other people also needs an established account (a paid plan and at least seven days old) — it keeps rooms safe.
